FAFSA deadline looming

Students around the state may be scrambling on Friday to get their Free Applications for Federal Student Aid completed in time for the March 2 deadline.

A FAFSA for 2013-2014 must be filed by Saturday for students to be considered for an Illinois MAP (Monetary Award Program) grant. Each year, over $150 billion is given to students who qualify, and the online form determines how much students qualify for.

To fill out a FAFSA, visit www.fafsa.gov.
