Morrissey to deliver State of the City Address on March 6

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Rockford Mayor Larry Morrissey will deliver his eighth State of the City Address at the Coronado Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, March 6.

The Mayor's speech is titled "The Pathway to Prosperity" and is expected to focus on the city's spirit of entrepreneurship. Mayor Morrissey will also discuss his views on geo-policing and how to reduce crime.

The speech will begin at 6:00 p.m., but the lobby area will open at 4:00 p.m. and attendees are invited to arrive early and visit informational booths that will be set up throughout the lobby of the Coronado. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase from 4:00 to 5:45 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking will be available in the lot across the street from the Coronado.
