Warrants issued in Rockford shooting death


Warrants have been issued for two individuals in the February 25 shooting death of 20-year-old Jimmy Hollins.

Hollins was brought to Rockford Memorial Hospital around 10:00 p.m. Monday night, and later died of a gunshot wound to the chest. According to police, the shooting occurred in an apartment in the 300 block of Underwood Street.

Tommy G. Nabors, 19, and Damarius L. Nelson, 18, have both been charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Rockford Police are not releasing photographs of Nabors and Nelson at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
