Winnebago's boys basketball team kept its perfect record intact, knocking off Aurora Christian 69-51 in the Byron Sectional Semi-Finals. Next up the Indians play Sterling Newman Friday at 7:30 in Byron. The Comets beat Seneca 45-27 to advance.

In the 1-A Eastland Sectional, the host Cougars knocked off Erie 62-41. Eastland awaits the winner of the Aquin vs. River Ridge game.

In the 3-A Belvidere Regionals, Rockford Lutheran had no trouble with Freeport, beating the Pretzels 79-56. In the 2nd game of the night, Belvidere overcame a slow start to beat Rockford Christian 48-24. Belvidere and Lutheran will play for a Regional title Friday at 7:30.

In the 4-A Rockford East Regional, Jefferson held on to beat DeKalb in a close one 57-49. The J-Hawks got 20 points from Jared Mayes, while Antonie Pittman scored 18 points in the win. In the night's 2nd game, the host E-Rabs beat Huntley 53-43 behind 16 points from Tony Evans, Jr. That sets up a Jefferson vs. East Regional title game Friday night at 7:30.

In the 4-A Hononegah Regional, the host Indians held off Harlem 56-50. Hononegah will play the winner of the Auburn vs. Boylan game, which is being played Thursday night at 7:30. The Regional title game is Friday at 7:30.
