Rock Valley College's Rachal Woody (Hononegah) will sign a letter of intent to continue her education and college volleyball career at Bethel University in Tennessee.
Woody will make her signing official during a brief ceremony on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 4:15 p.m. in the Physical Education Center (PEC), room 0108 (lower level) on RVC's main campus.
Woody was named to the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) national tournament's all-tournament team after helping to lead the Golden Eagles to the third volleyball national championship in school history. She was also named second team all-conference (N4C).
She finished second on the team in kills this past season with 413 and finished with over 70 wins, a third place finish at the national tournament (2011), and a national championship (2012) as an instrumental part of RVC's program over the last two seasons.
The signing means Woody will remain teammates with Breahna Stewart who signed with Bethel University on January 16. Bethel University is an NAIA university located in McKenzie, Tennessee, and plays volleyball in the TranSouth Athletic Conference.
