KNIB gears up for the Great American Cleanup - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

Even though there's snow on the ground, that's not stopping Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful and other area organizations from preparing for spring.
KNIB, along with the City of Rockford, Winnebago County Board, SwedishAmerican Foundation, Belvidere Township, and other community agencies kicked-off this year's Great American Cleanup campaign on Wednesday.
The anti-litter campaign is the work of Keep America Beautiful and locally, volunteer teams will gather on April 27 to clean up areas around Winnebago and Boone counties.
Volunteers, civic groups, and other organizations can register to be a part of the Great American Cleanup's local event by calling 815-637-1343 or visiting www.knib.org.
