Emergency responders from Lee and Ogle counties met in Rochelle Wednesday to prepare for the worst.
The group met to plan a full-scale exercise that will help prepare them to respond to disaster situations. During the exercise, over 1,500 participants will be tested on situations ranging from hazardous materials to search and rescue, with a focus on six specific areas throughout the two counties.
The full exercise will take place on May 8.
