Sex offender relocating to Beloit

BELOIT (WREX) -

The Beloit Police Department has released information on a sex offender moving to the city.

Todd L. Gupton, 50, will be relocating to 224 Chestnut Avenue from the Rock Valley Community Corrections Program, 203 West Sunny Lane, on or around March 1. Gupton was convicted of the following:

  • Robbery with the Use of Force - January 2004
  • 2nd Degree Sexual Assault - March 1991
  • Enticing Child for Immoral Purposes - November 1989

While he lives on Chestnut Avenue, Gupton has been ordered to have no contact with minors, stay away from patronize taverns, bars, or liquor stores, have no contact with victims, not use alcohol or drugs, comply with sex offender rules, and cooperate with GPS monitoring. He will be with an approved escort during his very limited trips away from the residence.

The Beloit Police Department has released the information as a way to increase public awareness, not to increase fear.
