
The Discovery Center will celebrate its 2013 Bubble Festival on Saturday, March 16, with activities, art, and a show.
The museum will host Geoffrey "Merlin" Akins, a magician and "bubbleologist" for several live shows that day. The show will feature bubbles inside bubbles, hand-blown bubbles, bubble caterpillars and ice cream cones, and even smoke-filled volcano bubbles.
Afterward, kids can test their own bubble skills with art and activities in the museum's Bubble-Palooza Playground.
Akins will perform six live shows that day at 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $4 for the public and $3 for members through March 15 and $5 for the public and $4 for members at the door.
Ticket price is in addition to the museum's admission price of $8 for adults and children. Children age one and younger are free.
