Longtime Belvidere Coach to Be Inducted to Hall of Fame


A longtime high school football coach in the area will be enshrined in the Illinois High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Mike Hearn was the head coach at Belvidere for 10 years and an assistant for 27 years.

Hearn had a 74-32 record as a head coach for the Bucs. He was an assistant on the 1993 and 1994 back-to-back state title teams.

He won conference coach of the year honors in 1998 and 2005. He'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame April 6th in Champaign.
