Local communities declare snow emergencies

Rockford, Machesney Park, Belvidere, and Janesville have all issued snow emergency ordinances.

Beginning at 5:00 p.m., odd/even parking will be in effect in Rockford. Cars should be parked on the even side of the street, and should be moved to the odd side of the street by 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.

No cars are allowed to be parked on Machesney Park or Belvidere streets. The Machesney Park ordinance will be lifted at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday or when all streets are cleared. The Belvidere ordinance will be in effect until all streets and parking lots are cleared.

A snow emergency will be in effect beginning at 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27. All parked vehicles must be removed from city streets and parking lots. Cars can park in designated snow emergency parking stalls. More information can be found at www.ci.janesville.wi.us/snow.
