UPDATED: Two people found dead in Ogle County

The two individuals have been identified as 85-year-old Jack E. Bond and his wife, 86-year-old Dorothy F. Bond. Dorothy died of a gunshot wound to the head, while Jack died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The investigation is continuing, pending lab results.

The Ogle County Sheriff's Office and Stillman Valley Ambulance arrived at the 4000 block of N. Armour Road in Stillman Valley for a death investigation. Deputies found two deceased people inside the home. The investigation is ongoing and the names of the deceased are not being released until their family members are notified.

Ogle County Sheriff Michael Harn says investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. Autopsies are scheduled for today. The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit is assisting with the investigation.
