Aquin Girls Advance to State Title Game

NORMAL, IL (WREX) -

Aquin trailed the entire 4th quarter until Sophie Brunner scored with 5 seconds to play, giving Aquin a 39-38 win over Annawan in the State Semi-Finals at Redbird Arena.

Brunner scored 21 points on 10-14 shooting, and also grabbed 12 rebounds.

Katie Stykel chipped in with 8 points and 4 rebounds. Rachel Harn hit a key 3-pointer down the stretch to keep Aquin in the game.

The Lady Bulldogs play for a 2nd straight state championship Saturday at 2:00 at Redbird Arena.
