To celebrate World Spay Day, Winnebago County Animal Services will offer spay and neuter vouchers for $50 each.
The vouchers will be available beginning on Monday, February 25 through Thursday, February 28, to the first 50 people who purchase one for their cat or dog. Vouchers can be purchased during normal business hours at the shelter.
The vouchers are limited to one per household and proof of current rabies vaccination, county registration tag, and a photo ID showing Winnebago County residency are required.
Low-income residents are eligible for a $20 voucher. Proof of income is required and that program is available year-round.
