
UPDATE:
The Thursday afternoon lockdown at Beloit College stemmed from an incident on Park Avenue.
Beloit Police officers responded to a home in the 1800 block just before 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Police say the suspect in the case threatened the caller with a gun and then left the scene in his car.
Officers saw the car pull into a secure parking garage at an apartment complex in the 900 block of Park Avenue, where officers say the suspect lives.
The building was secured and Beloit College security was notified. The campus went on lockdown as a precaution.
Just before 2:00 p.m., voice contact was made with the suspect, who voluntarily exited the apartment along with a female acquaintance just after 3:00 p.m. Those two were arrested without incident and a second female was found hiding and also arrested.
A handgun was not found during a search of the apartment, but suspected drugs and paraphernalia were seized. The man denied threatening anyone with a gun.
The three arrested face the following charges:
Additional charges are possible.
No shots were fired and no individuals were injured. Beloit College went off lockdown upon the arrest of the suspects.

Beloit Police are responding to a situation on Park Avenue, near Beloit College's campus.
The suspect is at 920 Park Avenue and may be armed. The college is on lockdown and advising students and staff to stay where they are as a precaution.
Beloit Police have asked the general public to stay away from the 900 block of Park Avenue due to the situation.
