Discovery Center holds engineering day with hands on robotics - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

Robots are taking over the Discovery Center Museum.
Luckily, these are not the scary kind. These machines are moving as part of the "Discover Engineering" event celebrating "National Engineers' Week" at the museum.
Kids and their families watched roving robots play sports, use catapults and do other activities.
Local engineers and high school robotics teams showed how technology works and why science is important.
All of this fun does have a practical side. The exhibits are part of the Discovery Center's mission to promote interest in math and science.
