Victim named in fatal Rock County crash

ROCK COUNTY (WREX) -

Rock County officials have  released the names of the men involved in an early Wednesday morning crash that claimed the life of one.

The crash occurred on W STH 59, just east of N STH 104 around 5:30 a.m. A 2007 Malibu lost control along a curve and collided with a 1998 Bonneville.

The driver of the Malibu, 23-year-old Matthew Kraft of South Wayne, Wisconsin, was pronounced dead at the scene. Kraft's passenger, 24-year-old Joshua Swenson of Evansville, Wisconsin was taken to UW-Hospital via Med-Flight for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Bonneville, 51-year-old Gregory Schultz of Monroe, Wisconsin, was taken to Mercy Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

No citations are expected to be issued.
