A Rockford business growth catalyst hopes to add four more success stories to its resume.
Southern Wisconsin Interpreting and Translation Services, SWITS, already has one office across the stateline. With numerous clients in Rockford, managers hope a start at EIGERlab, will catapult them into another office.
"We can really reach out to anywhere in the world with this place, so we're planning on staying here."
Saul Arteaga is the SWITS director.
While looking to expand to Illinois, the translation services company by chance, learned about EIGERlab through a chamber of commerce event.
Arteaga says, in Rockford and in EIGERlab, SWITS has everything it needs.
"To be able to expand in this economy right now, it's a blessing. Having EIGERlab offering us all the technology and the features of a big corporate-like office is great."
SWITS already had many clients in Rockford, helping hospitals and law enforcement agencies with translations. Now, that service becomes more convenient.
"It helps with employees, camaraderie, morale and networking and also for the clients to know that we're here and they can stop by anytime and know we can meet here," said Arteaga.
EIGERlab Marketing Coordinator Sherry Pritz sees the potential for success. Assisting in business growth and expansion is the hope for each tenant.
"The primary jobs is our goal and all of these tenants plan to grow jobs in the community," said Pritz.
Pritz says, when EIGERlab can turn a small start-up into a mainstream business it's good for the whole area.
"It's a win-win for our community when we assist in growing jobs, we assist in connecting people that need to be connected,"said Pritz.
The three other businesses joining EIGERlab are E-Z Hire, Friction Bonder and Nisenergy.
