Harlem-Roscoe firefighters get promotions

ROSCOE (WREX) -

Seven firefighters were promoted within the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department on February 8.

Tom Aaker and Jay Alms were both promoted to Battalion Chief. Alms was promoted to Captain in 2008 and Aaker was promoted to Captain in 2011.

Ryan Alms was promoted to Captain from Lieutenant. Firefighter/Paramedic Tom Lake, Firefighter/Paramedic Steve Shoevlin, Firefighter/EMT-B Brandon Tietz, and Firefighter/Paramedic Radi Huggard.

Fire Chief Don Shoevlin said of the men, "It is both an honor and pleasure to be promoting these individuals. They have not only proven they are capable to succeed in their new positions, but will be an asset to the future growth of our department."
