RPS205 welcomes new classroom experience with Embry-Riddle - WREX.com – Rockford’s News Leader

Rockford District 205 administrators want the future of flight to start right here in the school system.
A unanimous passing vote creates a relationship between the district and Embry-Riddle.
The Principles of Aerospace Science is the name of the course.
Students at Jefferson High will have the chance to take it, Fall 2013. Rockford's strong relationship with the aerospace and aeronautics sector. That's why the board and administration want to encourage students to take the course.
The estimated cost of the course including general expenses and salaries and wages, is $41,300.
Director of College and Career Readiness David Carson says it's a step in the right direction to cultivate an education that draws students back to the Rockford area.
