Along with accusations she embezzled over $53 million from the City of Dixon, it's former comptroller has also been accused of stealing from a charitable fund set up for Dixon's sister city program.
A Tuesday court filing claims Rita Crundwell stole at least $25,000 from the sister city account. According to prosecutors, an FBI agent will testify about the theft during her sentencing hearing on Thursday. At least six public officials, including Dixon's mayor, are also expected to speak about the effect the thefts had on the city.
