Belvidere dog wins Best of Breed at Westminster


A Belvidere dog and handler won big at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Tuesday.

Kent Meyer of Meyer's Tails Up Farm showed Bogie, a soft-coated wheaten terrier at the renowned show in New York City. Bogie, who is owned by Dick and Laurie Hager of Belvidere along with Gwen Meyer, won Best of Breed.

Gwen Meyer competed against Kent, showing Bogie's half-brother Logie, who hails from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Gwen will show Bogie in tonight's Best of Show competition that will air on the USA Network.
