EHM holds black fraternal organizations celebration

A salute is offered to black historical fraternal organizations at the Ethnic Heritage Museum.

It's part of a two day celebration of Black History Month.  Masons, Eastern Stars and the Blackhawk Elks are all honored.

The exhibit showcases how the organizations impact the community in youth development, education, health awareness and social action.

Paul W. Caine, a founder of Kappa Alpha Psi and one time resident of Rockford received post-mortem honors as well.
