Take a break from the snow and plan your next summer vacation or fishing trip.
The 42nd Annual Rockford Boat, Vacation and Fishing Show is going on all weekend at the Indoor Sports Center. More than 100 exhibits are set up showing the latest fishing equipment, travel guides and of course, the newest boats. The kids can even catch a fish in the trout pond.
Show producer, Andrew Rotolo says last year's turn out was around 15,000.
"With the amount of people we bring in, it's not just the people from Rockford, but it brings in a lot of people from Chicago, southern Wisconsin and from further west. It's great for all the local businesses as well."
It's running Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for adults is $7 and children under 12 are free.
