Rockford Payless Shoes robbed

ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Rockford Police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery at the East State Street Payless Shoes.

The robbery occurred just before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7. A man, 6'2" and about 220 pounds entered the store, implied a weapon and demanded cash from the clerk. An unknown amount of cash was taken.

The man was last seen leaving the store in an unknown direction. He was wearing a tan jacket and a scarf.
