Neighbor complaints lead to arrest of 4 in Belvidere

BELVIDERE (WREX) -

A series of complaints from neighbors led to the search of a home in the 1800 block of Seventh Avenue in Belvidere and the arrest of four men.

During the Thursday morning search, Belvidere Police detectives, patrol officers, and a K-9 unit seized cannabis, pills, scales, drug packaging materials, drug paraphernalia, and cash. The following men were arrested and charged:

  • Nathan Burza, 22
    • One count Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
    • One count Unlawful Possession of Cannabis
  • Justin Carter, 24
    • One count Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
    • One count Unlawful Possession of Cannabis
  • Nicholas Carter, 21
    • One count Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
    • One count Unlawful Possession of Cannabis
  • Matthew Burza, 20
    • One count Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
    • One count Unlawful Possession of Cannabis

All four are still in custody at the Boone County Jail with $1,500 bond each.
