North Boone asking for public's input on 2013-2014 budget

The North Boone School District is putting its 2013-2014 budget together and is asking for the public's input.

The district has seen a decrease of over $1 million in General State Aid over the past three years and expects a deficit of approximately $500,000 this year. During the same time period, the district has made about $2.5 million in cuts. A complete list of those cuts can be found here.

In an effort to hear the public's suggestions on how the district can increase revenue or decrease expenses, the district has created a survey for both parents and community members. The survey can be found here, and a letter expressing the district's position on the budget can be found here.
