A familiar face at the Burpee Museum of Natural History will now serve as its executive director.
Maureen Mall was appointed as executive director by the museum's Board of Trustees. Mall has 20 years of experience as a business executive and a background in both private and non-profit sectors.
Mall has volunteered with the Burpee Museum for seven years and worked in the paleontology lab, participated in field expeditions, and was a member of the "Homer" juvenile triceratops discovery team.
"The search committee interviewed several talented candidates, and chose Maureen for her track record in growing businesses, knowledge of the museum, and background in anthropology," Burpee Board of Trustees President Patti Tumilowicz said.
Mall currently serves as business development director for 1up! Software in Kokomo, Indiana. She will start her new role at Burpee on February 11.
