RMH rewarded for going green

Efforts to go green and increase energy efficiency have led to a $102,159 reward for Rockford Memorial Hospital.

Nicor Gas President Beth Reese and other representatives represented a check for that amount to the hospital on Monday, February 4. RMH received the money as thanks for its participation in the Nicor Gas Business Customer Incentive Program.

The program allowed the hospital invest in high-efficiency gas-firing burner equipment to help the hospital save over 102,000 therms of natural gas each year.
