Autopsy shows Belvidere man stabbed to death

The autopsy is complete on the man police say was stabbed to death by his fiance.

Twenty-year-old Jacob Vanzant of Belvidere died at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center on Saturday, February 2. Winnebago County Coroner Sue Fiduccia says his cause of death was a stab wound to the torso.

Police responded to the 200 block of Garden Drive just before 6:00 a.m. on Saturday. Vanzant's fiance, 19-year-old Jaime Page was arrested at the scene and charged with First Degree Murder.

The investigation is ongoing.
