Man sentenced for 2010 Rockford armed robbery

ROCKFORD -

A man who admitted to robbing a Rockford pizza place is sentenced.

John Shabazz pleaded guilty to robbing Villa Di Roma at Harrison Avenue and 11th Street back in August of 2010.  The owner of the place, Antonino Buscemi, was shot during the robbery. He survived.  Shabazz will spend the next 12 years in prison.
