Sunday, February 3 is the biggest day of the year for football fans, and it's also the busiest day for those who work in the pizza business.
Papa Murphy's, the nation's fifth largest pizza chain, relies on Super Bowl Sunday customers, and the customers never disappoint. The chain will use a total of 16,000 gallons of sauce, seven million slices of pepperoni, and 119 tons of mozzarella for all of the orders it receives on the big day.
"It's the Black Friday of pizza," Rockford Papa Murphy's owner Scott Cashion said.
Cashion said there will be a total of 77 football fields of pizza eaten around the country on Sunday.
