Clothing, medical care, guidance, and more will be given to area homeless thanks to the support of a fast food chain.
Two Rockford area Taco John's restaurants teamed up over the holidays to raise money for the Rockford Rescue Mission. A portion of the sales of each Nachos Navidad bought through December 25 went to support the mission, resulting in a total of over $1,000.
"We applaud Taco John's and organizations and businesses, community organizations, churches, individuals that are so generous in helping those here that are less fortunate here in the community," Rockford Rescue Mission Development Director Mick Manne said.
The mission provides programs and services for homeless men, women, and children in the Rockford region.
