Shooting is announced during gun control hearing

While the nationwide gun control battle continues, gun violence continues as well.

In the middle of a gun control hearing, the Senate Judiciary Committee got word of an office shooting in Arizona.

Former Arizona Representative, Gabrielle Gifford's testified, along with her husband and former astronaut Mark Kelly, for stricter gun controls.  Illinois Representative Cheri Bustos says she has personal ties with gun control.  Her husband is in law enforcement, her sons are outdoorsmen and she's a mother whose heart goes out to parents grieving from the Connecticut elementary shooting.

"This is a societal problem, this is not a unilateral problem that will be solved by a unilateral approach, so I think we need to look at everything from access to mental health treatment, we have to look at safety in the streets, we have to make sure those who are there to enforce the law have the resources to do that."

One person was killed and two injured at an office complex in Phoenix, Arizona shooting Wednesday morning.
