Train hits and kills Genoa woman

DEKALB COUNTY (WREX) -

A Genoa woman is dead after a train hits her.

According to DeKalb County Sheriff's Police, they got the call at around 1:40 Wednesday afternoon, for a train that hit a pedestrian on Pleasant Hill Road, north of Route 72.

Investigators identify the woman as 48 year old Barbara Gaffney.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police, and the coroner, are still investigating.
