Snappers Name New Team President

The Beloit Snappers have announced that Dennis Conerton has been elected as the new President of the Beloit Professional Baseball Association. Conerton was unanimously elected to the position on Tuesday by the organization's Board of Directors.

A Wisconsin native, this will be Conerton's second stint as President. Conerton has been on the Board of Directors since 1990, when he was named Treasurer. He served as President from 1993-96 before moving into the position of Chairman in 1997.
Conerton will continue to serve as the Chairman of the Beloit Snappers in addition to returning to the role of President. He replaces former President Brian Christianson.
The Beloit Snappers are a member of the Midwest League and are a Class-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. Opening Day at Pohlman Field is set for April 11, 2013 at 6:30pm, when the Snappers face the Burlington Bees, the Midwest League affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
