Crews from Rock County, Edgerton, and Milton responded to Dallman's Landing on Lake Koshkonong just before 6:00 p.m. on January 29 for a water rescue.
Three people were stranded in an eight-wheel drive vehicle made for travel on both ice and open water. The three were trying to get an ice shanty off the lake when the vehicle got stuck between ice and open water.
An airboat was deployed with members of the Rock County Sheriff's Office Recreational Safety Team and the Milton Fire Department. The crews were able to contact the stranded individuals and take them back to Dallman's Landing without incident.
There were no injuries and the vehicle was left on the lake to be retrieved on Wednesday morning.
