Rockton dog groomer heading to Westminster

A Rockton dog groomer is packing up her shears and heading to one of the biggest dog shows in the world.

Stephanie Mackey, the owner of Hair of the Dog Grooming Salon, is being flown out to New York City to groom a Newfoundland named CJ for the 2013 Westminster Dog Show. CJ's owners are from Janesville and have been seeing Mackey for three years.

"She ran it by us and didn't know if we'd be interested in doing it and I said of course we're interested in doing it," Mackey said. "I was so excited. It's the Super Bowl of dog shows, so we're really excited to go and groom him there."

This will be Mackey's first time at Westminster. She will fly out on February 10; CJ shows on February 12.
