February is American Heart Month and FHN is celebrating by offering special prices on two heart health tests.
The tests are an effort to prevent heart attacks through early diagnosis of risk factors for coronary artery disease.
FHN will offer a Standard Walking Treadmill Stress Test or Calcium Scoring CT Heart Scan for $99 each throughout next month.
The treadmill test determines a patient's exercise capacity and circulation to the heart by monitoring the heart with an electrocardiogram while the patient walks on a treadmill. It helps to determine the cause of unexplained fatigue, short breath, or irregular heartbeats during exercise. The CT scan detects plaque in the arteries. It's non-invasive and used to predict the risk of future heart problems.
Appointments for either test must be made by Thursday, February 28 and the test must be performed by August 30. They should not be considered a replacement for consulting with your physician. Payment for the tests are is due at the time of service.
