8 arrested in Janesville heroin investigation


Eight people have been arrested and at least nine children referred to the Rock County Department of Child Protective Services in Janesville.

The Janesville Police Department and Street Crimes Unit executed three search warrants at Janesville residences on Friday, January 25 during an investigation for the sale of heroin.

Eight people were arrested, and two cars used during illegal drug sales and a quantity of firearms were seized. Police are actively looking for additional suspects.

Due to the investigation leading police to information that could further criminal investigations in other jurisdictions, no specific identities or charges are being released at this time.
