3 Rockford stores cited for selling alcohol to minors

Three Rockford stores are cited for selling alcohol to minors.

Thursday January 23rd the Rockford Police Department Community Services Unit teamed up with the Winnebago County Health Department to check alcohol compliance in Rockford. 38 stores were checked. During the check, minors working for the Health Department made controlled purchases of alcohol from the following businesses.

1) BP Springfield Petroleum, 453 North Springfield Ave
2) Citgo Mini Mart, 2837 11th Street
3) Petromax, 4315 Auburn Street

These three businesses were cited for sale of alcoholic products to minors.
