ROCKFORD (WREX) -

Another business expands - spreads its wings so to speak - at the Chicago Rockford International Airport.

Code 1 Aviation just moved up to RFD from a location in DeKalb.  The company also has a facility in Lakeland, FL.  Code 1 specializes in maintaining and restoring what are called warbirds.  11 employees work there now.  Managers have plans to hire more.

"We've got kind of a history with a lot of the tenants that are here that help support some of the work that we do.  Rockford has a great facility, nice long runways for training purposes and other things that we bring our clients into town for," says Code 1 Aviation President Nathan Jones.
