Two local orthopedic associations are merging to expand the care available to their patients.
Rockford Orthopedic Associates and Crystal Lake Orthopedics have entered into a due diligence process in order to completely merge by the end of the year. The two groups say the merger will allow them to recruit skilled physicians and staff, improve technology, expand subspecialty services, and enhance customer service.
"By merging to create a larger and fully-integrated organization, patients are going to see a new level of comprehensive care that allows them to have specialized medical needs met without having to travel out of their own area," Rockford Orthopedics Associates CEO Don Schreiner said.
The names of the clinics will not change after the merger and current providers will remain at their locations so as not to disrupt patient care.
