Jo Daviess County Sheriff to award scholarship to local student

JO DAVIESS COUNTY (WREX) -

Thanks to funding from the Illinois Sheriff's Association, Jo Daviess County Sheriff Kevin Turner will award a $500 scholarship to a local student.

In order to qualify, the student must be a permanent resident of Jo Daviess County, the scholarship must be used at institutions of higher learning within Illinois, the scholarship must be used on tuition, books, and fees, and the student must be enrolled full time during the 2013-2014 school year.

Applications are available at the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office or at www.ilsheriff.org. Completed applications, essay questions, and all documentation should be returned to the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office with a postmark of Friday, March 15, at the latest.
