The trial against the man accused of killing Kerry Davis in 2009 has ended in a mistrial, again.
The first trial against Jesse Herrera took place last October. That ended in a mistrial because a witness spoke out after her testimony. The trial was then rescheduled to January of this year, and was once again declared a mistrial by the judge, this time due to a jury impasse.
Herrera pleaded not guilty to Davis' death in 2009. Davis was found shot in the chest in an alley behind King Street that summer.
