A man charged with a Rockford murder admits he did it.

Leonard Fricks pleaded guilty in WinnebagoCounty Court.  He admitted he shot Martin Jefferson at Summerdale Park in May of 2011.  Police say Jefferson went to the park with another man to fight, but Fricks brought a gun and started shooting.  Police issued a warrant for Fricks shortly after the shooting but he wasn't arrested until several months later in Arkansas.

Fricks will be sentenced in February.
