FHN's Security Supervisor has only been on the job for a year, but he's been kept busy and is happy with the results.
Quincy Carter says the focus over the last year has been how to prevent potential threats by working with administration, Emergency Department staff, and other employees throughout the hospital.
"The majority of what we've done has been working with people to find out how we can make them feel safer, and letting them know that they can call us whenever they need us," Carter said.
Improvements included changing how after-hours employees entered the building, reconfiguring the Emergency Department to accommodate more patients in a safe manner, installing panic alarms, improving security cameras, and security personnel training.
