Woman injured in rural Galena crash

A 21-year-old woman was injured and an 18-year-old man was cited after a car crash on Route 20 at the intersection of Norris Lane.

Deputies with the Jo Daviess County Sheriff's Office determined that both cars were going westbound on 20 when the car in front, driven by Alexandria Argall, slowed down to allow the car in front of her to turn left onto Norris Lane.

According to deputies, the car behind Argall, driven by Thomas Staver, then failed to stop, hitting Argall's vehicle.

Argall was transported to Midwest Medical Center. Staver was not injured, but was cited for failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
