Illinois State Police Troopers help with inauguration

Forty troopers with the Illinois State Police are in Washington, D.C. to help with security efforts during President Obama's second inauguration.

During inaugural events, the officers will be deputized as Deputy U.S. Marshals. They're joining 90 law enforcement agencies from around the country to provide help for the U.S. Secret Service and the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department with security.

Illinois State Police Director Hiram Grau said, "The men and women of the Illinois State POlice tasked with this most important mission proudly accepted the assignment and I am confident they will represent the ISP honorably."
