BOONE COUNTY (WREX) -

Sunday night just before 11pm the Boone County Sheriff's Department tried to stop a suspect vehicle on Circle Drive near Squaw Prairie Road. The vehicle was broadcast as a suspect fleeing another jurisdiction.

The car didn't stop when a Boone County Deputy tried to pull it over. The car crashed at the intersection of Olson Road and Spring Creek Road. The driver was ejected and died from his injuries. Lifeline helicopter and ambulance crews were called to the scene, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

The driver's name is not being released at this time. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
